Ex-Scientologist story #113, “I lost two husbands to the church.”

True stories about a false religion.

Kathryn Smith spent 18 years in Scientology, she was Class IV, OTII in her level of training.  She was on staff at the LA org.  Although she did have some positive experiences while a member other parts of it were no fun at all.  She says this as to why she left.

Final straw was when my 2nd husband came out from mid-west for auditing and descended back into severe mental illness. he eventually checked himself into USC County Psych Ward for help. The church declared me an SP and stated I must have caused my then husband’s problem.  [Scientologists are always eager to blame somebody else when their so-called “tech” fails.]

The horrible extreme punishments meted out to staff and public perceived as in lower conditions must be changed. The perception that children are ‘all suppresives’. The actions that separate us from the world at large. Why can’t they be strong and stand up for their beliefs as all religions must do and practice?
