Ex-Scientologist story #43, Vermin in Scientology, for RR

[It is simply amazing the number of stories I have found that talk about nasty roaches, spiders and other vermin infesting Scientology properties.  This goes double for the Ft. Harrison Hotel in Clearwater, Scientology hoards their money, why pay for pest control when you have auditing??]

This story by Donald Bear is short and to the point.  When joining Scientology he relied on statements made to the effect that L. Ron Hubbard was, among other things, a war hero and a nuclear scientist.  He was also told that by using Scientology methods he could raise his IQ, a perfect
memory and that it would prevent illness.  All of these claims were,
however, false.  Of the year he spent in Clearwater during 1978-1979
he states:

“I observed numerous conditions which I believe were unhealthy and unsanitary.  In the Fort Harrison I observed approximately 20 individuals living in the garage and sleeping in a confined area in triple bunks. . . Similarly, the staff dormitories were over-crowded.  I observed a small room, designed to house one or two guests, filled  with twelve Scientologists.  Many of them I observed contained

I was in Clearwater at the time of the hepatitis epidemic.  I received  a shot which I was told was a hepatitis vaccine.  The injection was administered by a Scientology “medical officer”.  The Scientologists attempted to conceal the epidemic.  All Scientologists were instructed not to disclose any information pertaining to the epidemic to the community.  The Scientology “medical officer” who “treated” any sickness or illness was imprisoned in the R.P.F. and replaced by another Scientologist who then served as a “medical officer”.

It looks like the Scientologists found a new way to treat disease,
just throw the medical officer into the RPF!!!
