Ex-Scientologist story #307, “What Happened in Vegas.”

The Sales Borg of Scientology

In November, 2009 The St. Petersburg Times ran a three-part story on Scientology which told the stories of important Scientologists leaving the cult.  The point of the series was that Scientology did not want to let go a people who were in the upper levels of the Sea Org.  People who had first-hand knowledge as to what a nasty little dictator David Miscavige is.  And those who did escape were spied on.

Fernando Gamboa and his wife Terri [ne Gillham] were two Scientologists who knew just about everyone in the cult.  Both had a long history in the cult, Fernando was a musician, among other things, who had been beaten by David Miscavige for some years, his wife was one of the four original four girls who served as Hubbard’s messengers which became the Commodore’s messenger Service or CMO.  This couple knew anybody who was anybody in Scientology; both were Sea Org executives and both suffered from the terrible tantrums of abuse from their leader.

They managed to flee the cult much to the ire of their former boss who kept tabs on them via PI’s that infiltrated their social circle.  In this story we once again meet the slimy David Lebau, now the top PI for the cult.  To read the full story go here: http://www.tampabay.com/news/scientology/article1048134.ece  and part two here: http://www.tampabay.com/news/scientology/article1048111.ece  and the last part: http://www.tampabay.com/news/scientology/article1048123.ece
